Jinseok (Jason) Yang MD

Dr. Jinseok (Jason) Yang is a Board-Certified Dermatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive medical and surgical care for patients of all ages. Originally from Ohio, Dr Yang ventured to Southern California for medical school and dermatology residency.

Dr Yang served as Chief Resident at the Harbor-UCLA dermatology program. He continues to teach residents as a Clinical Instructor on the Professorship track. He has authored over 25 peer-reviewed papers and serves as a Journal Reviewer for the American Academy of Dermatology. Dr Yang is multilingual. He speaks Korean with native proficiency, fluent Spanish and conversational Japanese.

Why do you love dermatology? I love that dermatology brings together so many areas of medicine—pathology, pharmacology, oncology, infectious disease, and basic science—while also allowing me to use both medical and surgical skills. It’s a field where I can help with everything from easing distressing skin concerns to treating potentially life-threatening conditions

When you were a child, what did you want to be when you grew up? Marine biologist, paleontologist, or violinist.
