Sophia Sandhu's passion for dermatology stems from the vast breadth of the field as she enjoys practicing medical, cosmetic, surgical, and pediatric dermatology. She is keen on patient education and empowers patients to take better care of their health, which begins with their skin, of course. As a strong advocate of skin health and preventative medicine, she has been actively involved skin cancer screenings and hikes in the community. Dr. Sandhu is dedicated to helping those in need and has organized dermatology free clinics and international medical mission trips throughout her training. During her chief resident year at Harbor-UCLA, she received the Women's Dermatologic Society mentorship award which provided her with the unique opportunity to participate in an adult/pediatric complex medical dermatology elective at UCSF. She also received the American Society of Dermatologic Surgery Preceptorship award which allowed her to obtain additional expertise training in cosmetic procedures.
